Debbie Blundell
Dee Blundell, also known to some as Debby is a singer entertainer who is making her mark on north west NSW. The lady is no relation to James or Owen. Her first real attempt at singing was in 1993 when she would travel two and a half hours each way from Coonabarabran to Tamworth just to sing three to four songs at a music jam. Dee while very nervous at first, loved to sing so she put her heart and soul into learning from fellow artists and musicians. She also gained experience by being part of her local Amateur Dramatic Society.
A five piece band out of Tamworth was formed called "About Last Night” with Dee as vocalist. They worked north west NSW for a period of twelve months and were finalists in the 1995 Rockquest held in Tamworth. Her ability to sing in the different fields of music saw her spend three years as vocalist for "Satin Moods" a six piece jazz band led by Colin Gutheridge which played in venues through central and north west NSW.
Dee has many guest appearances to her credit and can often be seen as part of fundraisers for different charities as well as being a regular around the Tamworth Country Music Festival. She has been seen with; Johnny Mullers Little Band (jazz band), Castlereagh Country with Steve McCauly (rock/ country), Johnny Greens Blues Cowboys (country blues/ boogie), The Sutton Sisters (country), Tamworth's Billabong Jazz Concerts and was a support artist on The Magnificent Seven Tour in 2003.
She worked in the Tamworth based duo "Wicked Deal' before moving on and forming the duo "Sweet Nothing" which rode a wave of popularity for about three years when both ladies went their own ways.
Dee now resides in Forbes NSW and is seen as a seasoned, likeable entertainer who delights her audiences where ever she performs.
